It’s back to school time.  Who do you think is more excited?

Elinor thinks Sami is more excited!  No kids in the house.

Sami likes back to school so she can work with less distractions.

Elinor says it’s going to be weird because she’ll have a smaller class size.

What is Elinor’s favorite part?

  • New classroom
  • See my friends

What will she miss most about summer?

  • Not playing with neighborhood friends as much.

What are you most excited about being back at school?

  • Handwork
  • Everything
  • Not sharing a desk!

What is handwork?

Knitting, crocheting and stuff. I’ve made two dolls, and elephant, flute case.

Are you excited about Spanish?

Not really, cause we have a new teacher.

Do you have a hard time sitting still?

Yes!

What is your goal to accomplish this year?

I don’t have one.

Are you excited brother will be there all day now?

Oh, dear.  He won’t be playing outside with me though.

What festivals do you get to do?

Olympiad.
Camping
Pendleton RoundUp

I’m going to tell my teacher if we have to go to the rodeo I’m going to cover my face, look away and talk to my friends.

The rodeo hurts the baby cows and I don’t want to see it.

If there’s kettle corn then I’ll watch.

Do you like it when Mom & Dad chaperone trips?

Not overnight trips, because you tell me what to do and what not to do.

Actually no, I don’t like it when you’re there.

Only during handwork when you read or small trips.

What are the last things you want to do with your summer?

Swim with Aidyn.  Have a sleepover with Aidyn.  Our friendship anniversary is coming up.

I want to put the diamonds in the numbers.  (I’m confused).

We have to finish planning the baby shower.

Elinor (daughter) and Sami (mom) were on vacation in Phoenix in March or 2019 when the concept of the mother-daughter podcast was born.

Sami, a digital marketing strategist, was working on her own podcast, when Elinor decided she needed one of her own.  When talking about concepts, the idea of having regular chats about life and recording them came up.

And with that, Conversations with My Daughter was born.

Each week, a new topic, and possible life lesson, are brought to you with the hopes it will make you smile, remember conversations with your own mom, and hopefully inspire new conversations with your own children.
