Ep 11 | Our Recent Trip to the Black Hills
The Black Hills of South Dakota are always a special place for us. Family road trips were often and it was fun to be able to take Elinor and Hudson there this past June. In case you haven’t been – we wanted to share the experience with you.

If you’ve never been to the Black Hills then we definitely recommend it. Many family road trips were taken here as we were kids. There is so much to do and see we definitely stayed busy!
We were there for 4 days and got invited by Papa (grandpa) to go. Mom and dad weren’t supposed to go. It was going to be a grandkid trip – but they weren’t able to fly without an adult.
Elinor was “kinda sad” that mom and dad came.
We did all sorts of things:
Some things we didn’t do but wanted to:
Get out to the Black Hills – find a great campground and have a fun family time.

Elinor (daughter) and Sami (mom) were on vacation in Phoenix in March or 2019 when the concept of the mother-daughter podcast was born.
Sami, a digital marketing strategist, was working on her own podcast, when Elinor decided she needed one of her own. When talking about concepts, the idea of having regular chats about life and recording them came up.
And with that, Conversations with My Daughter was born.
Each week, a new topic, and possible life lesson, are brought to you with the hopes it will make you smile, remember conversations with your own mom, and hopefully inspire new conversations with your own children.
