Ep 08 Elinor’s Bedtime Routine

Over the past few years, Elinor has dealt with different levels of anxiety.  We’ll be discussing this more in depth in the next two episodes, but a bedtime routine really helped her in creating consistency and sleeping better.

And getting a good nights rest, always helps with having a better attitude and being able to deal with what comes your way throughout the day!


When Elinor’s anxiety increased, having a bedtime routine really helped her feel safe and secure.  It also helped her sleep better.  We got recommendations from her therapist, as well as homeopathy and suggestions from Dr. (Auntie) Christy Bedasbad at Lumos Medical Center.

Her routine isn’t crazy, but definitely includes a little bit of time with both mom and dad.  

We’re sharing what works best for her, but that doesn’t mean it’s what’s best for everyone.  Finding the right mix for you and your kiddo might take time, but with a little bit of effort, it’ll really pay off!

Elinor (daughter) and Sami (mom) were on vacation in Phoenix in March or 2019 when the concept of the mother-daughter podcast was born.

Sami, a digital marketing strategist, was working on her own podcast, when Elinor decided she needed one of her own.  When talking about concepts, the idea of having regular chats about life and recording them came up.

And with that, Conversations with My Daughter was born.
